The Opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Senior Systems Analyst, Remote, to join our corporate information technology team in Buffalo, New York. As a remote Senior Systems Analyst, you will support the organization's Midwest Region and be responsible for supporting the build-out of a regional infrastructure hub model that is accountable for the tactical operations of scalable, reliable, and effective systems infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve physical hardware and virtual systems and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Document information learned into a knowledge base and transition to the Network Operations Center for future Tier 1 resolution.
  • Participate in project work as assigned such as leveraging network standards and reference architecture to design, build, test, and implement solutions that are optimized highly available global systems infrastructure in accordance with business and application requirements, security policies, and industry and domain best practices.
  • Identify and implement operational effectiveness and efficiency opportunities, while ensuring stability and integrity of the company systems infrastructure.
  • Ensure the creation, maintenance, and documentation as it relates to systems configuration, network mapping, systems mapping, processes, PCI compliance, and service records.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network and systems administration, support, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Design, build, implement and optimize a highly available global systems infrastructure in accordance with business and application requirements, security policies, and best practices.
  • Ensure the stability and integrity of the global systems infrastructure by providing oversight over as well as the planning, design, and development of multiple projects.
  • Analyze and resolve infrastructure hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Provide associate training where required; mentor, evaluate and provide guidance and oversight to all members of the infrastructure team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of related experience in the implementation, management, and maintenance of information technology infrastructure and IT systems including cloud architectures, business systems, and server technologies.
  • Solid systems infrastructure experience, strong project management acumen, excellent vendor management skills, plus a superior, service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure operations management, including the development and implementation of telecommunication systems, networks, and support services.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT governance and operation; in-depth expertise in software, hardware, and systems engineering.
  • Organizational, project, and program management planning skills; competency and ability to manage and administrate AWS environments.
  • In depth experience with VMware hosts, vCenter Server, and VMs including installation and configuration of hosts, configuring virtual networking environments, shared storage configuration, and clustering.
  • Experience with and knowledge of various storage environments, Fiber SAN, iSCSI SAN, and Active Directory administration.
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems with Office 365 administration and demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN technologies in a windows environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
