The Marketplace team builds Spotify's content and creator platforms. Our products - Spotify for Artists (S4A), Soundtrap, and SoundBetter - enable artists and their teams to create, connect, and grow their audience. Central to the Marketplace vision is our offering of promotion tools for artists and labels, powered by Spotify’s deep knowledge of listener preferences and behaviors.


We’re looking for an experienced sales insights analyst to join the Creator Promotion organization. In this role, you’ll help our customers and partners conceive, execute, and evaluate impactful marketing campaigns by providing insights and analyses of streaming data. You’ll work alongside data scientists and business analysts to develop an understanding of how our products are performing, while partnering with our sales and marketing teams to respond to questions from customers and support the development of proactive pitches.

What you'll do

  • Support reactive requests and proactive pitches with the data needed to tell a powerful story to our customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to find opportunities for improving the performance of our sales & marketing efforts
  • Analyze streaming data to identify trends that empower creators and their teams to identify the most effective marketing tools for growing and engaging their audiences
  • Build templates and processes that improve efficiencies across the team and allow us to deliver insights to customers in the most impactful way
  • Partner with data scientists to access and structure the datasets vital in responding to customer needs

Who you are

  • 5+ years of proven success as an analyst in either sales or another customer/leadership-facing environment
  • Technical expertise with querying (SQL / BigQuery) and visualization tools (like Tableau) to perform sophisticated analysis on very large datasets and building scalable insights solutions
  • Strong statistical competence & familiarity with Python / R
  • Proven expertise in crafting insight narratives and presenting findings to customers, sales and product leadership
  • Strong ability to translate customer questions into measurable insights and effectively communicate the value of the product to customers
  • Experience navigating a rapidly growing tech, media, or consulting organization. Bonus points if you also have experience working in the music industry!
