Senior Market Research Analyst (Remote) at J.D. Power
Title: Senior Market Research Analyst
Location: US or Canada (remote)
Reports to: Research Director
The primary duties of the Research team include working with the internal key stakeholders to develop new or revised survey content, to ensure that survey content meets J.D. Power’s high standards, and to develop and maintain the sample design for our syndicated research products. You will also work closely with the Data Science team to ensure studies are designed to maintain scientific integrity and quality and that syndicated studies are produced in an efficient and timely manner.
The Sr. Analyst will be an individual contributor a team of about 20 Research analysts. You are expected to be a self-starter who can manage a study from start to finish and work with other departments within the company’s matrix environment. You and your team will ensure that J.D. Power studies are developed or redesigned to meet client needs in a timely manner and ensure that the production of the syndicated study is efficient and smooth.
- Lead the development of survey and sample plan specifications
- Develop thought leadership in industry to help improve product
- Problem solve complex issues
- Lead investigation of data discrepancies/inconsistencies
- Ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously
- Work with survey programming and data processing specialists to ensure study designs are implemented as planned
- Perform QA processes on survey data to ensure data validity
- Perform QA processes on internal analysis (DP specs, SP skip logic/programming)
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Identify and implement efficiencies into the projects
- Mentor junior associates
- Support/lead a department initiative
- 8+ years of experience in market research and/or related fields
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Experience authoring surveys
- Ability to write technical documents
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)
- Intermediate to Advance SPSS skills
- Python experience is not required, but preferred
