We are seeking a talented individual to join the GTM Operations Team within SEA Mobile C&S group. The individual needs to ramp up quickly to not only understand where every services' critical data resides, but also how the different systems interact with each other. The individual will be responsible for creating synergies and consistency of reporting among different services, and to manage, analyze and perform the data reporting function for all Samsung's owned and operated services, as well as 3rd party service partners. Through superior data analytics skills, the individual will provide insightful suggestions to management across all services.

The individual will work closely with various analytics/data teams, product teams, finance, business planning, services strategy and others in both US and South Korea offices.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive and consolidate services data from various corporate sources to produce useful and actionable reports ("turning data into information") and communicate them to audiences within the organization
  • Become the in-house expert on services metrics and benchmarks for all services
  • Simplify complex data into easy to comprehend analysis
  • Identify and communicate anomalies in performance as well as proposed solutions
  • Create complex Excel models and reporting tools to enable timely and accurate service performance reporting and analysis
  • Publish daily, weekly, and monthly service performance reports
  • Develop reporting tools, including dashboards and visualizations, to explain services/business insights
  • Blend customer behavioral data to extract trends and responses at a customer cohort level



Skills and Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, and/or STEM related field
  • 12 years of related experience
  • Demonstrate a propensity for analysis, and the passion working with numbers
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to think methodically, formulate insights, and present compelling cases for action
  • Passionate about understanding data and deriving actionable insights
  • Independent thinker who is persistent, resourceful, and resilient
  • Comfortable and able to thrive in a matrixed organization
  • A detailed minded individual who consistently delivers quality work
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude and a sense of humor
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Understanding of various data management and reporting tools (Tableau or similar tools)
  • Microsoft Powerpoint and Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas) are a MUST
  • Fluent in Korean is a big plus but not required
  • 10% travel (domestic and international) expected

  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.

  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.


Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.
