Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Data Community and Opsi Analytics OM Kanban and Scrum Development teams
  • Own and drive solutions to fix defects, P3 incidents, problem tickets and Tech debt
  • Work close together with the PE Program Increment (PI) architects, PI Dev managers, OM support and product teams to have a clear understanding of new functionality or enhancements to production systems
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the OM eco systems from end to end and own and drive critical incidents and problems tickets that need urgent attention
  • Focus on OM systems automation and process improvement to ensure OM systems are scalable to meet data and user demands as the client footprint grows and services expand
  • Reduce Infrastructure and staffing cost per member per month by leveraging with new technologies, automation, and process improvement
  • Employee Experience and Manager effectiveness survey results are maintained above the Optum Product Engineering level
  • Have a start-up mentality with a servant leadership attitude to motivate the teams as they experience pressure and stress to resolve OM critical issues. Mentor and guide individual members for professional growth

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of managing large databases such as Oracle and SQL Server with a strong understanding of relational and unstructured data
  • 5+ years of managing large Scrum-Kanban development teams in large OM organizations including onshore and offshore
  • 3+ years of designing and building Bigdata platforms
  • 2+ years of data engineering technologies including ETL, storage and data quality


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing Large Databases
  • Start up mentality with a servant leadership attitude to motivate the teams

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
