Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop pioneering approaches to emerging technology and industry trends
  • Establish an environment of innovation and accelerate the modernization agenda
  • Provide data SME and technology leadership to culturally diverse team based out of multiple geographical location
  • Develop ETL/data pipelines using SSIS, Big Data, ADF etc.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationship with stakeholders
  • Communicate and negotiate direction with executive leadership and technical stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities and influences stakeholders with ideas that drive business value
  • Influence stakeholders to assess and manage the impacts of changes and drive decision making
  • Research and recommend engineering best practices
  • Provide governance to ensure engineering best practices are followed
  • Influences and uses discretion on trade-offs with enterprise standards staying connected with engineering reality
  • Apply technical expertise and leadership to guide teams in design decisions
  • Apply engineering principles to create databases that optimize the ability to extract, store and manipulate data for consumption by other applications
  • Research emerging technology that will optimize or automate systems or evaluate feasibility to recommend solution that delivers business value
  • Proactively research emerging trends and develops strategic recommendations
  • Propose and implement best in class architectural solution for complex systems hosted on prem/cloud infrastructure
  • Initiate and implement strategies to embed quality practices in team
  • Provide leadership to and accountable for the performance and direction through multiple la yers of management and senior level professional staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with developing ETL/data pipelines using SSIS, Big Data, ADF etc.
  • Experience in coding and solving complex issues
  • Broad knowledge of all data technologies including big data, relational database
  • Solid database skill with advanced SQL/Hive knowledge


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge around Angular
  • Solid problem solving, interviewing and fact-finding skills
  • Ability to come up with best-in-class technical solution for complex business problems
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good attitude and self-motivated

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The Salary range for Colorado Connecticut and Nevada residents is $97,300 to 176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
