Role Overview:

Frida is seeking a Senior Innovation Analyst to join our Strategy team based in Miami, FL to be a part of the Innovation + Product Development Strategy team at Frida. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive analysis and extracting insights that lead to business action in our innovation and product development strategy. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong communicator, collaborative, and an expert in analyzing varying types of data to uncover actionable business insights that inform strategy.  The Senior Innovation Analyst works with Marketing Intelligence and Innovation Product Strategy to identify new Frida opportunities, analyze consumer insights data, define product criteria and pricing, build project briefs, and setup R&D teams for success in executing on opportunities while achieving financial goals.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports evaluation, prioritization, and implementation of product pipeline and category growth initiatives, providing a road map for the product development team to deliver sustainable, profitable growth through new products
  • Develop competitive market analysis and pricing landscape to identify best opportunity for Frida to enter or expand in a category
  • Conduct new category + product data analysis to identify product opportunities for Frida that fit brand, consumer, and business needs
  • Leverage a varying set of data from consumer data, brand studies, sentiment analysis, reviews, and business performance data to inform product briefs and opportunities
  • Throughout product development lifecycle, work closely with sourcing, supply chain, and product development to maintain financial targets while delivering on consumer promise
  • Recommend optimal product pricing for new product briefs reflecting market research, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics for product launch across retail channels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to routinely evaluate the performance of products in market to refine expansion plans, SKU strategy, and maximize market penetration
  • Conduct deep dive analysis into distribution and portfolio expansion opportunities in retail
  • Develop competitive intelligence routine reports to inform leadership of industry trends, and competitive insight

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in analytics or strategy, CPG, Consulting, Business Intelligence, or Finance experience ideal
  • Excellent communicator and collaboration partner
  • Strong project management experience and demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple cross-functional projects concurrently to completion in a timely manor
  • Demonstrated analytic chops, with the ability to design and interpret financial models to facilitate opportunity evaluation and priority setting
  • Professional presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout the company including senior leadership
  • Energetic, positive team player attitude ready for the demands of a high energy, fast-paced company environment with a no-task-too-small work ethic
  • Quick learner who is comfortable working with large data sets to solve unique and complex problems
  • Ability to structure data analysis, driving analytics insights and analytical solutions to determine the best analytical solution
  • Ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions by knowing appropriate models
  • Superior Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and visualization skills. Experience in Nielsen/IRI, Amazon competitive data, Power BI
  • A sense of urgency to quickly, decisively, and efficiently resolve business issues
  • Strategic thinker who brings fresh thinking and works well with ambiguity
