As a Senior Infrastructure Operations Analyst within the Trading Support team, you will have an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment. This role supports the front office trading teams, technical systems, and their related workflows. As part of the day-to-day work, you will solve production issues, closely monitor the production systems and work with development peers to improve and stabilize the environment. Additionally, you may receive direct exposure to our trading desks as you support our company's trading systems. You are also encouraged to challenge current processes implementing improvements and automation of manual processes while also engaging on new project development. The main objective of this team is to ensure that the applications managed by Investments Trading Support operate smoothly and efficiently. The systems are used across the globe and supported by our global team.

We are looking for a candidate that can leverage their technical acumen to analyze and remediate complex issues impacting our trading systems and desk. In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should be able to conduct exceptional client-facing interactions with our trading teams and business partners. The candidate will be our first line of support for technology incidents impacting the trading desk and its related systems. The candidate will be required to track and appropriately communicate out user impacts to end-users while an incident is being investigated. This position is collocated with the trading desk.

Role summary and job responsibilities
  • Configures, administers, upgrades, monitors, and supports trading applications and workflow. Responsible for service delivery across all technology domains and all consumers.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines
  • Responsible for swiftly resolving disruptions to technology services to minimize user impacts and maintain service levels
  • Reviews the production readiness of technology solution implementations and application deployments and coordinates next steps across the involved teams
  • Works directly with multiple vendors and brokers to maintain and enhance our trading technology application suite
  • Oversees and provides guidance on analysis of performance trends and actions being taken for preventing potential impacts
  • Effectively uses logic as a problem-solving tool
  • Assists others when they need help and provides it in a positive way that promotes confidence
  • Proactively helps team members and makes suggestions to improve practices
  • Effectively manages first level trading triage
  • Leads projects or work streams within broader projects
  • Ability to work with large datasets to create ad-hoc reports
  • Accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty
  • Works independently, receives minimal mentoring
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Business knowledge
  • Possesses solid understanding of the tech, asset management industries, and internal business units to enable navigation of key partners and understanding of impact

  • Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in your job discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the broader technology portfolio (including tools like New Relic, Splunk, ServiceNow, Cloud Monitoring Tools)
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies
  • Maintains root cause analysis skills for investigation of incidents impacting technology availability
  • Reviews capacity utilization for trends and raises awareness across teams to address areas of excess and shortages
  • Administers processes and procedures related to code management
  • Engages various teams to evaluate and implement performance tuning recommendations
  • Available for 24x7 on call rotation (every 4-6 weeks), 5-10 hours per rotation
