HCI is looking for an early career data scientist to join our Predictive & Advanced People Analytics (PAPA) team to continue growing our data science capabilities. The PAPA team's mission is to seamlessly integrate machine learning with HR technologies and processes to efficiently and ethically scale accurate insights to HR, leaders, and employees for better, simpler talent decisions that impact the business.

This position will work remote in the US.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Manage stakeholders, hold intake meetings, and align on business needs
  • Collect, clean, and merge data, including determine feasibility, handle missing data, collaborate closely with legal and data privacy, and work closely with our data infrastructure team
  • Analyze data using appropriate statistical or machine learning models, iterate until desired performance levels are reached
  • Build prototypes and MVPs to deploy predictive tools across the entire organization
  • Present results to project sponsors with varying data literacy levels
  • Evaluate intervention effectiveness using observational studies or A/B testing

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of advanced/predictive analytics experience, or, advanced degree with 2+ years of experience

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in STEM or data science
  • Ability to tell a story with data and communicate technical information to different audiences with varying levels of data literacy
  • Experience applying advanced analytics skills, such as inferential statistics or machine learning, especially predictive modeling, in a professional (non-academic) setting
  • Experience with Dataiku and/or Snowflake
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams
