About Our Team

Data Intelligence is a growing team at CircleCI, and you’ll be a part of it from its storming stages - helping to build proofs of concept, spin up new services, and dig into new technologies like AI and Machine Learning.

You’ll also have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with teams across our product and platform engineering organization. Teams like our core engineering group, our data science and infrastructure teams, and our growth engineering teams, helping our customers engage with our platform at every step of the way.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with your peers to build and test new features and infrastructure. Simplify existing services, and scale our systems, particularly in the areas of API development for data- and machine learning-focused features. This includes frequent pair programming and ample opportunities to learn.
• Write sustainable, testable, high-quality, high-performance code.
• Adapt and evolve as we deal with ambiguity and changes to the roadmap.
• Learn and grow with the team as we improve our data-centric AI systems.
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, data analysts, and business partners to learn about our business priorities, explore solutions, weigh in on tradeoffs, and work on the strategic direction of new product features with the technical leadership of the team.
• Support, maintain and debug microservices in a scalable, distributed system.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of professional experience building and debugging distributed systems in production environments.
• You write code that’s easily readable, testable, and maintainable, with an eye towards baking in observability from the beginning.
• You have front-end experience with a solid back-end foundation, and enthusiastically approach everything from working on the UI to API design with the same level of respect and intention. We're not seeking a specialist in everything; T-shaped folks are ideal for these roles.
• You’re interested in learning new languages and technologies and are not afraid to admit what you don't know.
• You approach problems with curiosity and an open mind.

Colorado Salary Range: $144,000 - $180,000/year
