Collins Aerospace is actively seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This position contributes to a team of intermediate to experienced Financial Planning and Analysis professionals, meeting objectives and working with team members on financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts. Responsible for preparation of forecasts and performance of financial modeling to develop recommendations for management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support short-term business goals and decisions.
  • Leads preparation of forecasts and performance of financial modeling to develop recommendations for management.
  • Monitors development of financial reports, P& L, balance sheet, cash flows and statistical analysis for accuracy.
  • Provides reports to functional or operational management on financial analysis results and recommendations.
  • Manages financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards.
  • Leads support for operations finance activities, such as programs, pricing, sales, and supply chain.
  • Leads medium to large-scale projects. Builds analytical models to perform complex analyses.
  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, operations, supply chain, programs, engineering and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.
  • Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.
  • Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies.
  • Ensure program margin positions are current, accurate, and consistent with program status
  • Provides support for pricing and sales.
  • Develops and maintains financial information systems.
  • Partner with Value Steam Leaders, Program Management, and other members of the project team
  • Cost capture focal; provide actual spend data as needed
  • Supports priority business case and proposal development.
  • Focal point for Engineering reporting.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • HFM Experience (or similar planning tool)
  • Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SAP (ERP Experience)
  • Experience with JDE
  • Ability to work in Pacific Time Zone hours when needed
