Position Summary:

Reports directly to Chief of Supply Chain officer and is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and monitoring the establishment and administration of the Supply Chain Analytics function. This includes translating the vision for the future of Supply Chain into a Supply Chain analytics strategy and overseeing the development of analytics capability across Supply Chain at Johns Hopkins Hospital System (JHHS). Activity could involve, but is not limited to, overseeing a growing team of analysts, developing the Supply Chain Analytics brand across the system, collaborating closely with the Informatics team to share information, overseeing standardized and ad hoc reporting, and overseeing the development of data visualizations, tools, reports and presentations to enable strategic decision making across sourcing, value analysis, materials management and other Supply Chain areas. As such, the Senior Director for Analytics will be a core member of the Supply Chain Leadership team, will be involved in key Supply Chain decisions and grow strong stakeholder relationships across JHHS. This role requires a proven, dynamic and customer-oriented leader with a strong track record of building analytics capability in Supply Chain.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in business, supply chain or a health care-related field preferred.

Work Experience:

Requires 8 - 10 years of experience in progressively more sophisticated analytics roles. Experience in a health care setting is preferred but not required.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of ERP Supply Chain applications (incl. SAP) and knowledge of the end to end supply chain process. Deep understanding of capability development concepts including people management, training/upskilling, functional branding and business case development. Experience in supply chain in health care setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to provide leadership, strategic direction, oversight and management for an Analytics team in a large and complex Supply Chain function, working at system level
  • Dynamic, adaptable and quick learner with track record of building analytics capability in supply chain
  • Demonstrated ability in building and leading high performing teams and in coaching and developing staff
  • Ability to take a departmental Supply Chain strategy and translate this into and deliver against actionable goals for Supply Chain Analytics
  • Strong influencing, collaboration and stakeholder management skills up to and including executive level
  • Ability to drive change while delivering value within a team-based culture
  • Experience in adopting leading practices and designing and implementing digital supply chain solutions
  • Deep analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills up to and including executive level
