Job Description
Overview:
As the Senior Director, Analytic Solutions, you'll lead the effort to create a new team in the Analytics organization, working with and in support of analytics teams that support Epsilon's Digital Media Solutions practice. The primary responsibilities of the Analytics Solutions team covers design and development of new analytics solutions, tools and applications, which expands the capabilities of Epsilon's analytics platforms, and improves the productivity of our analytics teams. You will collaborate extensively with teams in Analytics and Engineering, but also with Product, Media and others. The successful candidate should have deep knowledge of analytics, machine learning, software engineering and data engineering along with extensive experience in developing analytical applications, working with big data, distributive computing and cloud technology, leading a high-performance team of data scientists, data engineers and/or (backend and front end) application developers.
This opportunity reports into the Vice President of Analytics Operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow Analytic Solutions team, work with Analytics leadership to set team goals and manage project roadmap
  • Partner with Analytics teams collaborating on design and development of innovative analytics solutions, define technical requirements and manage the development process
  • Manage technical resources and development environments of Analytics teams
  • Lead development, testing and evaluation of analytics platform capabilities, productivity tools and applications
  • Guide team in making high quality decisions on architecture and design of analytics solutions
  • Interface with Analytics and Engineering teams around database administration, systems engineering and DevOps tasks and projects


Requirements:

  • MS/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related technical disciplines
  • 15+ years of professional experience with design and development of analytical tools and applications, data processing, report automation and/or dashboard platforms
  • 5+ years team management experience, leading agile development practice; experience in growing and managing geographically distributed teams is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of analytics and data science algorithms and methodology, and their applications in marketing and advertising
  • Working knowledge with distributed data platforms (Greenplum, Amazon Redshift and/or BigQuery, Hadoop), data processing (Hive, Spark/PySpark, Dask), containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, and Prefect) and development skills in Python, SQL, JavaScript and Web Application are highly valued
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across functions and extract requirements
