As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining Medisolv's application databases and data integration processes. You will be responsible for creating and automating processes and stored procedures that load and update data from multiple disparate sources into Medisolv's standard normalized database or into an application specific database.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Create processes and procedures to export, transform and load complex data from multiple disparate sources using SQL.
  • Write SQL stored procedures and queries to select, insert, update, and delete data from various endpoints.
  • Optimize databases via standard practices, e.g., adding indexes, building additional collections, generating statistics, and optimizing execution plans
  • Create and run data integrity validation checks.
  • Debug issues with client systems, both in the cloud and on-premises installations.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot established data integration processes.
  • Provide technical service support and documentation to help stakeholders understand, implement, validate, and troubleshoot the installation and operation of the data integration processes.
  • Assist with general schema maintenance activities, and support developers and quality assurance during development, testing and release activities.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (or other SQL technology)
  • 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining ETL processes and procedures
  • Experience performing data analysis and calculations within a SQL environment
  • Expertise with Microsoft technologies and tools (SQL Server, .NET, TFS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of key health data standards, including (but not limited to): HL7, FHIR, CDA, CCD, eCQM and Meaningful Use, Standard Code Systems (SNOMED, RxNorm, ICD, etc.), and working knowledge of HIPPPA data security requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple project initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record systems (Meditech, EPIC, Cerner, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Technologies.
  • Experience with the following is a plus:
    • MongoDB (or other NoSQL technology)
    • Deploying databases into cloud environments
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline.
