Job Description:

The Role

As part of an MDM agile squad, you be a part of long-standing product where market security data is being acquired, transformed, and delivered. The securities data is used in part for portfolio composition and performance measurements. This data has other internal consumers. Your ETL development skills, business understanding, and relationship skills will help ensure other teams have the right data to make good and timely decisions. You will

  • Develop ETL code with Oracle and Informatica.
  • Work in an agile manner within your squad and across other teams to deliver and release the product.
  • Support the application in production and continuously improving the application.
  • Mentor more junior engineers, sharing your mastery.
  • Be a part of larger chapter of engineers where everyone's good ideas can be cross pollinated to make your product and other products better.


The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Or another combination of credentials and experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in ETL development.
  • Skilled and experience in an ETL tool. Informatica preferred.
  • Skilled and experience in SQL and SQL code. Oracle PL/SQL preferred.
  • Understanding with and experienced in using a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience with big data.
  • Knowledge and use of cloud. AWS preferred.
  • A willingness to use agile practices. Spotify model and JIRA preferred.
  • Technical leadership experience with good relationships with business partners, improving the skills and abilities of more junior engineers, and continuous improvement.


The Team

You will have two teams: A squad where you concentrate on the what and the when with agile practices. Your squad is led by a business expert and complimented with an agile professional, other engineers, and a quality engineer. You will also be a part of a chapter where you have a larger team of engineers to share good ideas, practices, and solutions. Your squad and chapter are one of many squads and chapters that make up our Data Product Area servicing our Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations business unit.
