Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish a common set of data definitions
  • Establish consistent logical names for attributes
  • Identify requirements for data to be corrected, cleansed and/or transformed
  • Identify data relationships
  • Populate detailed source to target ETL mapping documents, including complex SQL, to accomplish data retrieval for use by ETL developers and QA team
  • Populate source to target logical mapping documents and perform logical data mapping walk throughs with the business
  • Work with data modeler to create logical data models to meet business reporting requirements
  • QA data generated from ETL mapping documents in development environment to ensure accuracy of data
  • Work with business leaders to identify reporting requirements and develop needed detailed business requirements
  • Create Solution Documents based on identified business requirements
  • Assist in developing strategies to solve complex problems in the project development life cycle
  • Work as a liaison between the business and development teams
  • Evaluate progress and results with users and recommend changes in procedures
  • Maintain metadata for online use by business users
  • Assist in design, test, implementation, maintenance, and control of physical and relational databases
  • Build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency
  • Embrace continuous learning of engineering practices to ensure industry best practices, modernization, and Agile practices
  • Define and document standards and guidelines
  • Perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years equivalent analyst experience
  • 5+ years of data warehouse experience
  • 5+ Years Business/Solution Analyst experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Healthcare experience


Soft Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of data architecture, data modeling and data infrastructure

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
