Role Summary

The Global Distribution Intelligence team is seeking a motivated, strategic thinker, with a consultative approach to join our team as a Sr. Data Analyst. This role is best suited for those with wide-ranging interests in data analytics and data management. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can develop intuitive data visualizations, build performance metrics, and deliver the end result to business leaders and end users. They will be working closely with technology partners in software engineering, data architecture, and project management to oversee our data infrastructure. At the Senior level we are looking for an individual who is capable of handling complex projects, finding creative solutions, and delivering results that require minimal ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and act on opportunities to help the team increase efficiency and provide high quality support
  • Integrate data and business knowledge to continuously provide insights that support the decision-making process for leaders
  • Act as the main point of contact between intelligence and technology teams
  • Develop a strong prioritization framework in partnership with intelligence team, business experts, and 3rd party vendors
  • Translate high-level business needs & product direction into project plans, use cases, user stories, and implementation reports as it relates to a data strategy & ingestion roadmap
  • Upskill other team members and find opportunities to streamline existing data processes
  • Effectively communicate technical outputs to non-technical audiences
  • Train business users on new reporting solutions and present derived business insight with senior leadership to enable key business decisions
  • Work independently and in partnership with business experts



Typical Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience.



Preferred

  • 4+ years of experience applying analytical processes to complex datasets and developing accompanying visualizations.
  • 2+ years communicating with clients to frame business problems and deliver results.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Strong work ethic in terms of time management, project ownership, and accountability.
  • BS/BA in a STEM field.
  • Financial services industry experience.



Technical Skills

  • Experience in SQL
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis (python, R, Alteryx)
  • Experience in data visualization (Tableau, Alteryx)



FINRA registrations are not required for this role and will not be supported.
