Position Overview:

The Senior Data Analyst of Data Quality reports to the Sr. Director of Business Intelligence supporting Operations.  The Senior Data Analyst is the sole point of contact responsible for the requirements gathering and the data analysis initiatives of the BI team concerning Signify Operations.  The Senior Data Analyst will understand the intricacies of our Operations and help with providing timely insights into its performance by analyzing the data. The Senior Data Analyst will help establish the vision for data quality standards maintained by development teams within the organization.  The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with internal data suppliers and the Data Management Team to ensure the data contracts between them are satisfied. The data contracts for data-pushed downstream to internal consumers of the data are established and communicated.  The Senior Data Analyst will also work closely with the Director of Business Intelligence to ensure that semantic layer processing aligns with high data quality standards and clear business approval/review.  The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with other leaders in the company to help formulate data partnerships where new data must be ingested, processed, and disseminated downstream into new and existing reporting or new and existing data contracts.  The Senior Data Analyst will also help formulate the strategy for what value lies in the new and existing data to achieve insightful solutions.  The Senior Data Analyst will review changes pushed through application releases that may impact the use of data in the organization and translate that information into tactical approaches to be taken by the development teams.  The Senior Data Analyst will not be responsible for tactical/technical development, nor will they be responsible for testing/quality assurance of code developed.   

Qualifications:

Education/Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare related discipline, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree in business or technology preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong experience interfacing directly with members of the executive and senior management
  • Self-driven – able to identify data analysis initiatives in the organization, work with the VP of Operations and other Directors on prioritizing, and lead those initiatives while providing frequent updates on the status
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the data analysis space, ideally within business intelligence applications and data warehousing solutions
  • Experience with SQL Server, Reporting, and Data Cubes
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI) and data frameworks
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare space with crucial positions in high data analysis, quality, and accuracy.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with users to understand business processes and data quality-affecting requirements
  • Experience in reporting progress of team activities to leadership with clear and concise attention to work performed, the value provided, and initiatives completed
  • Has participated in client presentations and proposal development
  • Has demonstrated significant skill required to work effectively across internal functional areas in situations where clear parameters may not exist

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Business Intelligence team and Operations as needed
  • Partner with stakeholders to create and configure dashboards to meet the business objective(s)
  • Assist in the design and development of data insights of our Operations
  • Analyze, design, and test various enhancements and changes to reports as business needs evolve
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze and resolve complicated issues, and distill that complexity into simple and concise communication
  • Provide support and training to stakeholders on reporting tools and reports
  • Develop, direct and manage efforts related to data gap initiatives
  • Attention to detail, speedy cadence, people skills that motivate, and a habit of improvement
