As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll work with the brightest minds in the business and find yourself digging deep to find the solutions to help people live healthier lives. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, reviewing, and forecasting data for operational and business planning to impact the health care system
  • Present financial analysis and recommendations for operational and business review/planning
  • Create complex SQL algorithms using multiple data sets to stage or present information in a meaningful way that supports business stakeholders, investigative analysis, or business initiatives
  • Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
  • Leverage accepted statistical and analytical principles, tools, and techniques to identify abnormalities and/or trends in, benchmarks for, or predictive models of KPI's and healthcare trends
  • Design creative and appealing solutions that maximize data visualization capabilities, in a manner that "tells the story" by simplifying the consumption of information and overall usability
  • Develop actionable insights and support the decision making process, making appropriate recommendations, using strong business acumen and understanding of what the data represents
  • This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts
  • The challenge is in developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models
  • You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story
  • Independently gather requirements for projects and leverage all resources to complete projects by expected closure dates

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, or related field of study or related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis
  • 5+ years of related experience in Healthcare and/or Analytics, including Excel, BI Tools, and SQL Server
  • Understanding of financial structure and business practices of the managed care industry
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management business processes as related to healthcare industry
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changing priorities and aggressive project deadlines

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
