About the job:
Upside’s Analytics Team is in search of a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing to apply data to develop the most profitable performance-focused consumer campaigns, including bonuses and media spend. In this role, you’ll use your expertise to deeply analyze consumer segments and marketing performance to determine which users and channels provide the most value. Using those insights, you’ll advise how to best deploy our budget and optimize for acquisition, retention, re-engagement, and referrals.
What you’ll do:
- Develop the system to measure and optimize paid media and word-of-mouth referral that systematically learns what combination of user, channel, and creative results in the most efficient and high volume growth.
- Analyze and visualize campaign results across customer segments and develop recommendations to optimize performance.
- Develop performance dashboards with critical metrics, trends, and insights; and translate those insights into compelling narratives that lead to well-informed decision-making.
- Increase the value of Upside's users, including identifying strategies for market segments that will result in increased usage.
- Partner with the Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to define marketing spend plan; measure resulting performance to evaluate success and improve acquisition cost and return on investment.
- Evaluate results on an ongoing basis and adjust spend and strategy accordingly.
- Identify creative ways to employ innovative data analysis and modeling to dig into trends or investigate anomalies.
What you need:
- 5-8 years of marketing analytics, marketing operations, or digital marketing experience.
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, or quantitative field preferred.
- Experience optimizing paid acquisition, conversion, and retention initiatives.
- Successful track record of using analytical skills to provide meaningful insights from data.
- Experience in data segmentation, reporting, and analysis (SQL required, experience with Snowflake preferred).
- Experience with data visualization and analysis tools like Mixpanel and Looker.
