Senior Data Analyst - Cox Business
The Senior Data Analyst for the Cox Business Sales Compensation team is primarily responsible for the modeling and analysis of Sales Compensation strategies and variable compensation programs for Cox Business.
This role reports to the Sr Manager, Sales Operations - Compensation and is a critical resource in effectively managing compensation and performance across the enterprise.
The candidate selected for this role will be a key contributor in the establishment of a standardized comprehensive sales compensation modeling, analysis, and reporting program spanning all sales channels and business divisions within Cox Business.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Sales compensation and incentive programs design modeling
- Sales compensation and incentive programs effectiveness analysis
- Compensation plan and policy exception analysis
- Standardized performance and compensation reporting
- Preparation of presentation materials related to compensation modeling and analysis.
- Boundary Partner support regarding compensation programs and policies.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Qualifications :
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Business, Management, Finance, Data Analysis) and 4 years' experience in a related field (Data Analysis, Finance, Sales Operations). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field.
Preferred
- Motivated, resourceful, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail while remaining results-oriented is critical.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment for interpreting data.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills required, including logical and reference formulas, use of pivot tables, modeling structure/design, charting/graphing, and formatting for executive presentations.
- Tableau experience is a plus, but not necessary. Tableau training will be provided.
- CRM and Sales Compensation systems experience / knowledge is a plus (Xactly, Salesforce)
- Demonstrated ability to multitask successfully with flexibility and willingness to manage multiple, changing priorities in a complex environment.
