Optum has an exciting new role supporting our technology team for a Sr. Communications Reporting Analyst. Plan to bring your consultative approach and technical translation skills to support the data, reporting and executive communication needs for Optum Technology acquisition integration activities.
The Sr. Communications Reporting Analyst will be an outstanding interpreter of data and a solid storyteller with excellent listening and written communication skills suited for a range of audiences and channels.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and executive leaders to understand and analyze needs, accomplishments, business problems and other priorities in order to develop presentation materials, dashboards and reports.
Data and metrics will tell a story through well written communications, reports, strategic thinking and data visualization. All of this will be imperative to our success factors in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the reporting needs for acquisition integrations
  • Communicate ideas and deliverables clearly and concisely
  • Work directly with executive leadership team to effectively present data and stories
  • Appropriately manage expectations by providing regular status updates and quickly escalating risks or issues
  • Ensure that measurement solutions and reports adhere to organizational priorities
  • Execute recurring processes to deliver high quality reporting on an established cadence
  • Develop and propose recommendations to optimize and evolve operational reporting and business planning
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of Optum's Technical Infrastructure Integration initiatives and business goals
  • Possess the drive to serve our customers through user-centric messaging
  • Telecommuter role with "central time zone" business hours focus

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated critical thinking and navigating ambiguity to deliver quality results
  • 3+ years of experience creating and managing program/project timelines and materials
  • 3+ years of analytics experience working with large, distributed teams
  • Experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet, Domo or other similar reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced and changing environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with technical products, infrastructure integrations and/or networking and data center migration projects
  • Experience working with VP or executive level audiences
  • Ongoing capacity to continue to learn new tools and technologies
  • Proven ability to manage and foster high level relationships across a large enterprise and influence without formal authority
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively across all levels and audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Possesses solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a "can-do" approach
  • Flexibility to adjust when needed, to think in the moment and propose solutions to challenges

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The Salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The Salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k con tribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
