Job Description

About the team
This team is responsible for execution, development, production and implementation of internal communications.
The team produces written communications that portray and present the company in a favorable manner to various levels of press and industry personnel. They communicate company philosophy, policy and marketing strategy to employees.
What you will be doing
You will be responsible for helping FIS employees understand and engage in FIS' technology transformation and change initiative, Tech Next. This large-scale change initiative is the next step along FIS' transformation journey.

  • Conceptualizes and writes copy for the publication of various materials, e.g., employee updates, management briefs, executive messaging, articles, speeches, slide presentation and scripts, and web-based materials.
  • Determines need for and content of graphics to explain and enhance written materials and edits materials for content, grammar, format, etc.
  • Works with stakeholders to enhance the microsite taking it to the next level
  • Gains approval on materials from appropriate stakeholders, reviews final copy of materials to ensure correctness and readiness for production and arranges for production, duplication and distribution of materials.
  • Coordinates projects by determining project scope, deadlines and resources.
  • Responsible for gathering requirements and creating user stories and use cases.
  • Collaborates as needed with outside vendors, e.g., design firms, advertising agencies, free-lance writers to develop design/concept of communications materials and/or prepare materials for publication.
  • Meets with internal and external stakeholders and resources to gather information, e.g., purpose/message of materials, method of communications and tone/image of materials and make recommendations on the organization, style, etc. of materials.
  • Performs communications-related support activities. Assists in developing objectives, standards, procedures, etc. for various publications and events, e.g., company magazine, trade shows and newsletters.
  • Conducts surveys and other listening mechanisms to obtain feedback from employees regarding communication and messaging.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism or similar field.
  • 5+ years of similar work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors and proficiency in communication practices and techniques
  • Excellent collaboration skills with ability to build relationships and influence
  • Knowledge of the production requirements for delivery via video, print, email, websites, virtual meeting platforms and other channels
  • Technical: SharePoint or other similar content management systems (CMS), MS PowerPoint, Kanban boards, design software e.g. Canva
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
  • Ability to operate independently
