Senior Business Systems Analyst
About the job
The Red Hat IT team is looking for a Senior Business System Analyst to join our IT Training (LMS) team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work as part of the external-facing eCommerce Training and Certification team, which is responsible for the development and functional support of the eCommerce LMS application. You'll need to have solid analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills and the ability to partner with internal and external business customers.
What you will do
- Work closely with global and regional stakeholders, development teams, and architects to solve business problems
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria per business needs
- Guide agile modeling sessions and participate in sprint demos and backlog grooming sessions
- Manage customer relationships and day-to-day interactions and escalations
- Develop business requirements documents, business process diagrams, and use cases
- Analyze business requirements and perform gap and root cause analyses
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies
- Ensure compliance with SOX, business controls, and IT general controls
- Gain an understanding of all the features and functionality that teams are working on
- Help with recruiting, mentoring, and supporting new team members
- Advance your professional skills
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, management information systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working as a business system analyst
- 5+ years of experience operating in a complex, agile delivery environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and with other teams
- Experience with learning management systems is a big plus
