Senior Business & Quality Analyst
Description
This is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. Relocation may be provided.
In this Business & Quality Analyst role you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business requirements for new information technology solutions or enhancements to existing solutions. You will lead requirements elicitation and documentation for one or more medium to large projects with increased complexity.
As Quality Assurance (QA) engineer, will be responsible for developing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure product quality. Responsibility include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Development of business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional) and product backlogs • Proactive identification and remediation of software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the solution code or configuration • Documentation of software solutions and ensure that technical documentation meets GM standards • Strong analytical skills; experience creating test cases, test scripts, and associated documentation • Develop and maintain detailed functional and load test scenarios within an Agile development environment • Must have experience as part of a software project delivery and validation effort • Assists with Performance tuning, usability assessment/improvement • Proactively engage in the identification / remediation of software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the code or solution/configuration • Develop and drive test automation strategy, execution plans, supervise and frequently report on progress • Ensure automated test cases are continually added to the CICD folders and triggered automatically to increase automation efficiency • Be accountable for meeting automation goals and objectives for the organization and timely escalations if any risks arise • Build and maintain an automated test infrastructure and automation test harnesses for a multi-platform product that will be used to ensure quality in all aspects of the product • Perform root cause analysis, technology evaluations, and develop quick prototypes • Establish processes and tool sets to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports, contributing ongoing streamlined data to development, design, and planning teams • Hold oneself and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Additional Description
CRITICAL SKILLS: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must possess a working knowledge of TFS/Azure DevOps
• Automation Tools: Eclipse IDE, TFS, Insomnia, Cucumber and Ready API.
• Demonstrates critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical capability • Independently facilitates sessions with end users, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and capture process flow diagrams • Independently facilitates meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years experience in leading and writing Requirements • 5+ years working experience of testing methods, tools and techniques • 2+ years experience software tools and test automation
• Solid knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST). • Work closely with Developers, QA and other project team members to analyze test results, locate problems, identify root causes and develop solutions
