Scope

Reporting to the VP of Business Intellience and Analytics, this position will be accountable for design and development of ESIS' business intelligence deliverables. This individual will take a lead role within the Business Intelligence team in analyzing business requirements, determination of appropriate tools and approaches, and the application of standards and best practices around the aesthetics and branding of the team's BI dashboards, scorecards, reports and other products. Working with the business, operations, IT and other partners, this individual will influence and guide other team members in defining standards and best practices for BI products and will be a key participant in larger high-visibility projects, delivering high-impact information and insights to ESIS' clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other team members to define and establish standards, frameworks and best practices for delivery of Business Intelligence applications and products.
  • Work with team members to develop repeatable and scalable processes for the modeling and reporting of data across the ESIS lines of business
  • Work alongside a diverse team of data analysts, data consultants and report developers, who may be geographically dispersed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients to identify emerging trends, needs and opportunities to provide distinctive value and outcomes from the services and data within ESIS, Chubb or the market.
  • Ability to synthesize data, uncover inherent trends in the data, make recommendations about associated implications to business performance, & communicate findings & recommendations to a variety of audiences
  • Maintain a strategic outlook and stay current with leading technology products and techniques used for the design and development of Business Intelligence and Analytics.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of key business processes in order to be seen as a trusted advisor to the business in bringing technology and analytics to bear on business problems and procedures.
  • Provide and contribute to the development and continual refinement of a cohesive data, reporting and business intelligence roadmap across ESIS solution sets.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with ESIS leaders, teams and solutions to embrace a unified strategy for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Work closely with ACE resources on broader initiatives regarding predictive modeling, data modeling, analytics, business intelligence and client reporting.



Qualifications

Preferred Technical skills:

  • Intermediate to Strong understanding of database functionality and ability to create complex queries and data sets.
  • Strong understanding and experience using industry standard platforms and tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, MS SQL, MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding and experience in report and visual design, usability, and data analysis.


Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in financial services, insurance, or data analytics industry
  • Ability to acquire core business acumen within a given industry or customer segment
  • Proven success in requirements gathering, design and development of reports, dashboards, scorecards and other metrics to provide insights to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to be productive within a diverse team of highly skilled analysts, developers and technical professionals who may be geographically dispersed.
  • Demonstrated strategic thought leadership around business intelligence capabilities,
  • Excellent influencing & partnership skills; ability to work collaboratively with team members, business leaders, IT counterparts and external clients.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Knowledge of business key performance indicators (KPIs) with a preference in KPIs for the risk, insurance and claims industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in business facilitation and effective use of project management techniques/tools.
  • Ability to adapt within a constantly changing environment and set of priorities
  • Self-motivated and innovative with the ability to set direction, organize and manage own work, and effectively work in collaboration with others.
