We are a collaborative and dedicated team seeking an Analytics Engineer to join us in designing and building the future vision of Meetup.

What you’ll get to do in this role:

• You will be a champion of big data, unafraid to dive in to understand Meetup’s measurement, metrics and dimensions and where we should be headed
• You will be responsible for maintaining production analysis pipelines, deploying intuitive and easy to understand dashboards
• You will work closely with Data Products & Data Engineering teams to develop knowledge about our data pipelines and upstream data sources in order to make it business-analytics ready for our end-users
• You will maintain our Looker visualization tool through writing reliable, testable, efficient clean code
• Understand the analytics needs and translate these needs into reliable data reporting solutions across the various business groups from technical requirement to end-user deliverables
• Train and upskill members of the organization in new reports and tools that are released out of our domain

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years working with data analytics & warehousing practices at scale, experimentation, integrating models, and understanding ETL pipelines
• Advanced SQL and proficiency with one or more scripting languages: Python preferred
• 2+ years experience with Looker & LookML or similar
• 2+ years experience with Google Analytics (or similar) and internal logging systems
• Experience analyzing A/B and multivariate tests (Meetup is highly focused on data driven outcomes)
• Experience partnering directly with clients (either internal or external) and leading projects with multiple work streams
• Meticulous attention to detail and an obsession with 'getting it right'
• Strong communication and documentation skills
