Job Description:

Crowe is seeking a talented and driven Senior Business Analyst in our Product Engineering practice. This individual will assume a business analyst role on a Scrum team that is responsible for assisting in a cloud migration and modernization effort of the Insight product that is leveraged by the Audit practice to deliver Crowe's Audit services. Primary responsibilities include leading requirements elicitation, documentation, story creation, and refinement for the team. This individual should have a passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and a history of successful software delivery and leadership within an Agile Scrum team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop product and industry acumen in order to converse with terminology that has meaning and context to the Product Manager, subject matter experts, and Scrum team
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate agile ceremonies and working sessions with the Product Manager and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and refine work for the Scrum team
  • Lead backlog management for the Scrum team including prioritization of backlog items
  • Ability to translate business needs into consumable features/stories for the development team
  • During the sprint, collaborate within the Scrum team on requirements clarification and elevate issues to the Product Team when needed
  • Partner with Development Lead to perform Scrum Master responsibilities for the team
  • Collaborate across Scrum teams to manage dependencies and ensure risks are proactively managed
  • Work with the Scrum team to demonstrate work to the Product Manager and ensure it complies with the Definition of Done (DoD)
  • Embrace the Shift Left mindset and weave quality early into the development lifecycle
  • Identify and propose Agile process improvements for the Scrum team
  • Help triage issues with the Scrum team and ensure appropriate documentation
  • Create visuals (mock-ups, matrixes, etc.) to help drive discussions with Product Manager stakeholders, and Scrum team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of BA or Product Owner experience
  • Proficient level of understanding of Product Development and Software Development Life Cycles
  • Solid experience with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with people from many different disciplines
  • Proactive, self-starter, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar tool
  • Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with SharePoint / Microsoft 365
