Job Description

The purpose of this role is to assist the Commercial Finance team in delivering timely and accurate information to the business through analysis of business unit performance. The role will utilise financial analysis techniques to provide insight, analysis and trends on critical business issues impacting the day-to-day performance of a business unit for consideration by senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

The key responsibilities of the role are to support the Commercial Finance function through:

  1. Collecting and analyzing financial information to support commercial decision making
  2. Identifies and monitors underlying drivers of cost and revenue variances between actual expenditure vs. forecast/budget, highlighting issues and margin impact where necessary
  3. Works proactively with the business to analyze and build the forecasts, improves data capture and process, and helps generate useful insight to share with the business
  4. Supports the business in their development of short, medium, and long-term resourcing requirements
  5. Provides analytical support focused around obtaining the optimal balance of pricing, early payment discounts, rebates, and volume commitments
  6. Participates on bid teams for pitches and new business driving appropriate commercial terms, pricing, and profitability
  7. Supplies ad-hoc financial information and analysis as and when required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant finance / accounting qualification.
  • Commercially minded with a natural ability to identify issues and create solutions.
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and process-minded, ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Naturally curious to interrogate and validate financial information.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and able to work to their own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines through excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to explain financial information to non-financial people.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Advanced Skills with excel preferred)

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $59,000-$104,500. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
