Job Description:
Pluralsight's Skills Strategy & Operations team is charged with ensuring a cohesive, compelling, data-driven strategy to grow the Skills product. We drive key cross-group Skills level programs that bring value to our customers and the business. This role will support the Skills Product organization and drive strategy creation and recommendations by crafting clear, practical insights using data. As Senior Business Analyst in the Skills Strategy team, you will be responsible for enabling the Skills Leadership Team to monitor the health of the Skills product line; make sound investment decisions; optimize performance; and, drive operational excellence across the Skills business. What you'll own:

  • Creating data-driven recommendations to the Skills Product organization on long-term strategy, using data to guide investment decisions, business performance, and operational processes.
  • Defining, building, analyzing, and monitoring KPIs that inform strategy.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Skills Strategy, VP of Skills Strategy & Operations and the EVP and GM of Skills to deliver on initiatives/special projects.
  • Preparing strategic insights and materials for annual planning sessions and leadership team meetings.
  • Designing and developing zero-defect analysis in Excel and summary insights in Google Slides or Tableau dashboards.
  • Clearly communicating compelling insights, storylines and recommendations through a variety of mediums (e.g., verbal, long-form presentation, email).

Experience you'll need:

  • Analyzing and synthesizing data from multiple sources. This includes both ad-hoc analyses as well as long-form presentations.
  • Experience navigating complexity and ambiguity with ease.
  • Influencing key decisions by using data. Ability to distill complex ideas into straightforward and compelling story-telling.
  • Experience and passion for building a robust storyline, partnering with cross-functional teams, and delivering recommendations
  • Communicating effectively at all levels of technical and functional teams across the business, senior leadership and the executive team.
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, strategy, economics or accounting is preferred (6+ years of experience post-graduation)
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, and Excel/Sheets.
  • Experience with Python, R, Adobe Analytics or similar tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the workforce development competitive landscape would be highly valued.
