Intuit is a global technology platform that helps consumers and small businesses overcome their most important financial challenges. Serving more than 100 million customers worldwide, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Overview

The Intuit Platform organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in its FinOps team. As a critical outward-facing member of the team, this individual will leverage their business experience and analytical skills to drive enterprise-wide success in cloud hosting. With hosting being one of Intuit's largest and most dynamic costs, this role has potential to provide dramatic financial benefit to the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will combine experience managing the finances of a large organization with strong analytical skills. Through hands-on engagement with groups across the enterprise, they will be responsible for ensuring customers meet their budget and efficiency targets.

The Team

Intuit's FinOps team is devoted to maximizing the business outcomes of Intuit's use of the public cloud. Based in the US with peers in India, we design and implement solutions allowing Intuit to plan and operate in the cloud with maximum efficiency. We drive enterprise accountability for adherence to financial plans and efficient use of cloud resources.

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years experience analyzing large and complex data sets (SQL, data warehouses/lakes, advanced spreadsheets)
  • 1-3 years experience with enterprise financial management - planning, tracking, reporting
  • 1-3 years experience establishing and running multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with basic public cloud hosting principles

How you will lead

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, leadership, engineers, and program managers to understand and solve for any and all business needs related to cloud hosting.
  • For groups not already successfully driving robust forecasting and cloud waste management programs: engage, establish, and drive these programs to successful outcomes.
  • Achieve and maintain mastery of public cloud hosting billing concepts.
  • As a customer advocate, translate currently unmet needs into technical and functional requirements the team can prioritize and develop against.
  • Service requests for insights through assisted use of the team's tools and by authoring (often complex) SQL queries.
  • Perform investigation into cost and usage related anomalies, discrepancies, and other incidents
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) of new customer-facing capabilities.
  • Assist in the resolution of application and data issues, performing root cause analysis and removal of technical bottlenecks to resolve operational and performance issues.
  • Participate in Agile Software Development processes and maintain the JIRA board for sprint work and development code in GIT repositories.
