Job Description

The Senior Analyst will develop and implement analyses to gain a deeper understanding of data for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients. The Senior Analyst will uncover insights and build recommendations that support business objectives in the areas of category management, sales and marketing. Through these actions, the successful candidate will be viewed as a trusted partner to CPG clients and add value to their business. This role reports to the Manager of Client Services and is an integral part of building collaborative client relationships.


Qualifications

What you will do:

  • Create value by keeping clients engaged through timely and accurate periodic reporting. Reports will help clients understand key indicators such as sales growth, market share, brand performance and product distribution.

  • Work on ad hoc client deliverables with Manager/CPG clients. These deliverables may arise from client-specified needs or from team members. Examples would include deep dives into assortment, promotional efficacy and listing/delisting opportunities.

  • Develop new reports and innovative and exciting ways to showcase data to clients.

  • Participate in special projects as required.

  • Occasional travel to clients in various US locations as well as to global Toronto headquarters.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of directly related analytic work experience in Category Management or Shopper Insights role at CPG, Retailer, Restaurant (hospitality) or in client service

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced experience in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication

  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to understand the operations and challenges within various internal and client stakeholder groups

  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
