Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Deal Management will work with Sales, Marketing, and Portfolio stakeholders to lead, optimize, and coordinate customer contract and large deal price negotiations within certain market sectors of our Food business. You will also help support our formula price index update process and communication of key market trends to our Sales and Marketing teams to support our customer price actions.

Job Description

  • Leads customer contract negotiation and large deal process - Leads the contract negotiation process for SEE Food customer accounts in coordination with Sales, Marketing, Portfolio, and Finance teams; helps summarize business case and recommended approach in professional slide deck for leadership approval; optimizes profitability of deals by bringing best practices and ideas that add value considering our relative bargaining power in each negotiation; market sectors of responsibility include Fluids, Medical, and Adjacent Markets
  • Oversees customer contract management - Oversees the customer contract management process in coordination with the Legal team and the Strategic Deal Management team
  • Leads customer RFP responses - Leads RFP response process for customers within responsible market segments; helps implement best practices and recommends optimal response to requested commercial conditions; coordinates response activities and leadership approval process with key stakeholders
  • Contributes to profit improvement activities - Works with Portfolio, Marketing, and Finance teams to identify opportunities for targeted price increase activities to improve our profitability across key market sectors and supported customer accounts
  • Develops and updates key business reports - Develops and runs key business reports to track customer profitability trends by SKU to help drive targeted profitability improvement initiatives; report types include customer profitability analysis trends, margin analysis trends by SKU, sales trend reporting by sector and product hierarchy, etc.
  • Supports formula price management process - Manages administration of formula price agreements across supported market segments
  • Tracks market index price trends - Tracks and updates a variety of market indices that impact our cost and margin performance (e.g., resin price indices, feedstock costs, CPI trends, fuel cost trends, etc.)
  • Supports growth funnel process - Supports customer growth funnel process to synthesize and optimize our customer negotiation strategy for identified key accounts


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-4+ years of analyst experience in product marketing, contract management, or finance within the food or industrial manufacturing industry
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time


Additional Qualifications

  • Analyst, product marketing, contract management, or finance backgrounds are preferred
  • Able to understand complex issues and can clearly articulate complex ideas
  • Excellent project management, organization, attention to detail, follow-up
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify issues and self-start programs
  • Solid presentation building & communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly & liaise broadly across functions
  • Deadline & detail oriented
  • Excellent relationship building skills complemented by the proven ability to work with others, especially across team boundaries
  • Intellectually curious, self-motivated
  • Ability to be self-directed and handle ambiguous environments
  • Proficient with Office 365 - Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
