Senior Analyst, Life New Business

POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the Life NB Senior Analyst is to direct the daily activities of the New Business team through the monitoring of workflows and staff availability. The Life New Business Senior Analyst will perform as an active team member and will have primary responsibility for meeting team responsiveness and quality measures. They will review suspense accounts and aging cases for resolution. The Senior Analyst will review JIRA incidents, categorize errors, address the reinforcement of standards to improve team performance. The Senior Analyst will investigate and rectify customer issues in a timely manner, escalate and communicate as appropriate. They will develop and maintain professional working relationships with key accounts, internal and external customers.  The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Life New Business Associate to create, manage, and maintain the analysis for managerial reporting to Leadership and provide back up as needed.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with WFM (workforce management) in the execution of daily plans
  • Manage daily workflow to ensure adherence to SLA’s for responsiveness and Quality through the optimal utilization of team resources
  • Provide on the fly direction to Life New Business team members as needed
  • Collaborates with project teams and business owners/leaders to align on resource needs
  • Actively participate in interviews and candidate hiring processes
  • Coordinates with team leader in the development and establishment of individual development plans for team members
  • Provides oversight for contracted resources
  • Collaborates with the business leaders and process partners for effective change management, support, and communication to stakeholders
  • Supports opportunities within the Life NB team to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, or eliminate waste
  • Provides updates to Dashboards, MBR, QBR materials and present to leadership as requested
  • Interacts with leadership across Lines of Business and functional areas/teams
  • Effectively communicates status of work and provides regular updates to all stakeholders
  • Performs various operational, clerical, and/or administrative support tasks as assigned; serves as back-up support in the day-to-day New Business Case Management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in Life New Business Case Management
  • Knowledge in and experience with Microsoft O365 suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, OneNote, Teams and Visio), Salesforce, Confluence, JIRA products  
  • Prior experience in Life Case Management or SME in Life New Business
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • Ability to lead change via collaboration, influence, and execution
  • Demonstrated adaptability, accountability, and ability to overcome ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment as both leader and collaborator; ability to motivate staff and collaborate with peers
  • Excellent customer-service skills with a “can-do” attitude and the ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage / coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet critical deadlines; action and results oriented
  • Ability to self-start and take the appropriate initiative daily
