What you'll do..
The Data Strategy and Insights team is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead the design, build and maintenance of highly usable and insightful reports and Tableau dashboards by building relationships with key stakeholders.
You will play a key role in developing, automating, scaling, and implementing solutions that tackle diverse business problems. There are ample opportunities to enrich your knowledge and skillset that will accelerate your Analytical career.
You will be responsible for combining your analytical strength, logic building, consulting mind with product focus and business understanding to deliver for our business stakeholders and product leaders. The goal is to use data to derive insights that drive the right business outcomes and build strong relationships with customers of your specific domain.
You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • You come to the table with a comprehensive knowledge of Database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).
  • You are well-versed in visualization tools (e.g. Python, R libraries, Tableau, Power BI) and applying advanced visualization techniques.
  • You are a self-starter capable of coming up with creative solutions that can be reused and generalized for other applications or domains.
  • You level up when you have the opportunity to teach others and empower those around you to excel.
  • You excel at recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
  • You have experience working with large datasets, finding insights, and telling stories using data

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own a domain specific portfolio of reports & dashboards used daily by associates across the Walmart business.
  • Identify the root cause and ensure data visualizations focuses the attention of business leaders on key issues.
  • Enable customers to make decisions better and faster by using our products. This requires effective communication through data using clear and concise summaries.
  • Plan roadmaps, drive change management, and keep the customers updated. This requires backlog management, documentation and communication with technical team members to guarantee predictable delivery in line with the product roadmap and customer expectations.
  • Present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders / customers, drive accountability for action and impact.
  • Work in a Scrum environment managed in Jira.


Minimum Qualifications...

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Option 2: Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science,
    Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Option 3: At least 5 years of experience in an analytics or related field.
  • Experienced in data visualization and report automation with Looker or Tableau.
  • Expert in processing and analyzing large volumes of data and extracting insights using SQL and Google Big Query.
  • Strong skills in statistics languages and packages such as Python and R.
  • Worked with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Team Rosters).
