Position Purpose:

Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes.

In this Senior Actuarial Analyst role, you will:

  • Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes.
  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes
  • Process large volume of enrollment and claims data to analyze emerging financial experience and help develop strategies to mitigate financial risk for health plans in CA / WA Medicaid markets
  • Review State capitation rates and provide health plans with actuarial support in advocating for appropriate revenue that aligns with emerging trend
  • Research and analyze legislative changes that impact Medicaid managed care program
  • Provide actuarial support with State's cost reporting requirements
  • Provide actuarial support with State's RFP and help develop strategies for health plans to grow business
  • Analyze acuity of Medicaid managed care population and its impact on emerging trend
  • Analyze and evaluate required premium rates for rate advocacy with the state
  • Develop and run data reports

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. Combination of years of experience and number of actuarial exams passed equals or exceeds 5 (Rule of 5). For example, 2 years of actuarial experience and 3 passed actuarial exams.

License/Certification:
