Description

SAIC is looking for a well-qualified Security Policy Analyst to join an exciting program in Springfield, VA. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to learn and the ability to be an immediate contributor in fast paced team environments. Job responsibilities include providing expert level management of complex control systems and other policy frameworks. The analyst will work across issue-focused teams; participate in advisory groups; conduct classification reviews and briefings; provide training to senior security specialists; communicate complex issues and potential risks to senior decision makers; and synthesize information derived from external sources/policies and apply it to the internal organizational framework.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree and 14+ years experience. 4 Additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI);
  • The ability to complete a CounterIntelligence (CI) scope polygraph (post hire);
  • Shall have 5 years or more experience interpreting DoD and/or IC policies;
  • Shall have 2 years or more experience operating with a Controlled Access Program (CAP); In-depth knowledge of ODNI policies for CAPs and applications of the policies with Control System designed to protect sensitive compartmented information. Experience with and/or Special Access Program Central Office (SAPCO) may be in lieu of experience with CAPCO;
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of United States Code, Executive Orders, DNI Intelligence Community policies, DoD policies, Executive Order 13526, 12333, 13587, and other applicable policies;
  • Demonstrated experience in research and data gathering with an ability to interpret/analyze complex information;
  • Experience in drafting, coordinating, routing, and publishing policy and practices including, but not limited to: information, industrial, personnel, cyber, physical, international, and acquisition security;
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills required to articulate, prepare and maintain policy framework(s) in support of classified senior government customers; and
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and manage multiple on-going projects.

Desired Qualifications

  • An active Top Secret clearance with access to SCI and a CI polygraph;
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain policy framework(s) in support of classified government customer; and
  • Experience performing courier duties within the continental United States;
  • Previous experience as a Government or Contractor Program Security Officer/Representative;


Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
