Primary Responsibilities

The Sacramento office currently has an opening for an Advisory Services Analyst to join our team. Primary responsibilities for this position are to support the Advisory Services team on a range of projects including strategic plans, policy, asset management, capital planning, grant writing, business process improvements, master planning, funding strategies, and other services within the Advisory Services umbrella. The tasks supported by this position may include the following:

• Perform analyst and research activities on projects.
• Prepare documents and presentations for clients.
• Support policy research, coordination, and reviews.
• Coordinate with clients and present with Senior or Principal Consultant.
• Serve as project management on smaller projects, deputy project manager on larger projects.
• Support Scope of Work and budget development for proposals.
• Provide grant writing support.

The primary focus of this position is within the Resources Business Group, which includes Power, Industrial and Waste Sectors. However, this position will support other HDR Business Groups on Advisory Services projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Policy, Business, or Communications.
• Experience working at a consulting firm.
• 0 to 3+ years of relevant experience in Advisory Services.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a collaborative team as well as independently.
• Willingness to support a wide variety of Advisory Services projects and learn new skillsets.
• Some travel required.
