Corteva Agriscience is searching for a Requirements Analyst (RA). The Requirements Analyst will work with business subject matter experts and stakeholders, as well as the Product Delivery teams, Architecture teams, Infrastructure teams and other IT related areas to gather information in order to create requirements for a specific process or system change.

Key Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow!

As a Technology Expert they contribute by:

  • Knowing the Business - works to develop understanding of business process to enable efficient elicitation of detailed requirements and translate those into technology capabilities that maximize business value.
  • Knowing our Capabilities - develops and leverages broad knowledge of Corteva's enterprise digital capabilities to meet customer requirements.
  • Knowing the Industry - maintains current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology and enable collaboration between business SMEs and technical team


As a Builder they contribute by:

  • Eliciting Requirements - collaborates with BPE and other stakeholders to discover business, functional, and/or non-functional requirements in order to provide a basis for estimates, timelines, and promote implementation success.
  • Crafting the Design - designs detailed requirements-based user stories that meet the team's definition of ready prior to committing to a sprint


As an Operator they contribute by:

  • Documenting Requirements - determines appropriate documentation type, details, and approach to match the scope of work; maintains version control.
  • Maintaining Requirements - participates in vendor delivery planning sessions, Quarterly Planning, Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Daily Stand Up and Retrospectives as part of an active versioning User Stories.


What are an RA's Primary Functions?

  • Interview POs, BPEs, SMEs and others to elicit user requirements, create process models, and capture requirements within User Stories.
  • Actively manage the Product and Sprint backlogs and ensure that there are two to three Sprints worth of Users Stories ready for each Sprint.
  • Facilitate User Story Refinement and Sprint Planning Agile Events.
  • Ensure each user Story meets the team's Definition of Ready prior to being Committed to a Sprint.
  • Identify any problems with the current technical solutions within capabilities and identifying ways to improve those areas.
  • Work closely with the Agile Delivery Lead to develop acceptance criteria for User Stories.
  • Perform periodic quality checks.
  • Assist in training end users as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience within computer science, data science, information science or related field will also be considered.


Experience/Skills

  • 3-5 years of IT related experience and/or requirements gathering.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of business structure.
  • Stakeholder analysis.

  • Processes modeling.
  • Understanding of networks, databases and other technology.
