This is the entry level position for the Renewables Data Analyst hierarchy. The primary job responsibilities are validating operational data and publishing periodic reports. A Renewables Data Analyst I will have the capability of working under the guidance of management or others within the group with more experience. When incumbents become proficient in their duties, they work under general supervision and guidelines performing routine tasks and assist higher level analysts with more complex tasks.
Responsibilities
50%: Analyze and validate data from various sites that feed multiple operational reports
20%: Review and distribute periodic reports for key metrics that align with business unit goals and objectives
10%: Design, implement and document quality control measures for data collection, data mapping, and data management
10%: Identify, document, and understand business requirements and translate into reporting solutions to support Renewables Operations as well as Continuous Improvement initiatives.
10%: Performs ad-hoc analyses as assigned
Basic/Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or closely related degree.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in any of fields listed under basic qualifications• One year of experience in trend analysis, forecasting, or statistical analysis• Experience in data modeling, report coding and/or dashboard development.• Ability to learn and comprehend new and advanced technologies.• Beginner level analytical skills, troubleshooting, and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)• Demonstrated effective oral/written communication, organizational, presentation, facilitation and planning skills.• One year of renewable operational or utility experience• Demonstrated working knowledge of Renewables technology, processes and procedures• Understanding of OSI Soft PI• Ability to learn and implement new software and systems
