Details:

A remote Structural Analyst job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered, you will need Bachelor"s Degree with at least 8 years of experience in structural analysis. In this role, you will analyze a wide variety of designs utilizing advanced analytical and FEM tools.

Structural Analyst job duties:
* Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress analysis methods
* Generate and maintain ownership of structural finite element models
* Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer
* Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated
* Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal documentation of the findings
* Maintain strong communication with the internal project management and with the client
* Manage your own tasks and work under minimal direction
* Mentor junior engineers as required
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* 8+ years of structural finite element analysis
* Strong hand calculation skills
* Ability to quickly learn new FEA software and analysis techniques
* Experience with analysis of welds and bolted joints
* Proficiency in understanding technical drawings
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Must have strong time management skills
* Mentoring or leadership experience
* Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required
* Travel to customer locations as required

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Ansa Pre-processor
* Experience with OptiStruct and/or Abaqus solvers
* Experience using scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc)
