The Rate Analystmanages and maintains rate structures between Werner Enterprises and our customer base. This includes publishing rate structures for new and existing customers through our internal rating engine.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage bids from initial lead to bid deliver, feedback and award.
• Collect critical client data for distribution to internal stakeholders using RFPs, Account Executives knowledge, historical data and customer contracts.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Account Executives and internal divisions to ensure pricing is provided based on freight characteristics, customer needs, market imbalances, and expected operating
  ratios.
• Oversee solutions and suggest bid direction based on collaborative pricing provided by all divisions.
• Provide communication and analysis of pricing strategy to Management Team and Account Executives.
• Maintain and analyze historical bid data, existing and proposed pricing, and award files.
• Make recommendations for bid process improvement.
• Complete additional rate related projects, analysis, and other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or equivalent experience is preferred.
• One to two years transportation rate experience preferred.
• One to two years P.C. computer experience preferred, with an Excel emphasis preferred.
• Zero to six months customer service experience preferred.
