As part of the Provider Data Analytics and Delivery Team, the Provider Data Analyst is responsible for various activities related to the provider network database which may include any or all of the following: database maintenance, reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses, initiating database improvement. Provider Data Analysts develop and maintain standards for database integrity and quality assurance, coordinate corrective activities to clean database and retain users, and manage communication processes with other departments regarding database improvements. Other responsibilities include conducting audits and providing feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance, maintaining current provider data to ensure the quality of the network, and may be responsible for representing the provider network area on company IT projects, reporting and tracking provider calls and complaints, or for the support, coordination, and production of the paper and online directory cycles.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work in a cross functional environment, gather and analyze business requirements for the provider network state compliance file
  • Ensure project documentation, project plans, milestones and deliverables are accurate and follow project to completion
  • Understand the purpose of use of the file and any related operational impact of the compliance file. Clearly communicate data elements / formatting / timelines to technical support for state file production
  • Capability to become a SME and single point of contact for the Health Plans they primarily work with on the state file process
  • Utilize experience working in a client facing environment with a sense of urgency, and the ability to consistently execute on deliverables timely

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in business / data analysis within a cross functional environment
  • 2+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including: Filtering and sorting data, analyzing multiple spreadsheets to identify variances
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience successfully managing one or more major projects, which integrate multiple business areas or systems
  • 2+ years of experience gathering requirements from the client/business and creating strong documentation
  • Experience working in Front/Backend of NDB, Cosmos, and CSP platforms
  • Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data
