Overview of Position

The Project Analyst supports delivery of key projects relating to technologies and processes supporting technical architecture, deployment, upgrade, integration, and enhancements. The Project Analyst performs business needs analysis, requirements, use cases, workflow design, documentation, project logs, and coordination.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Gather, analyze, and document project requirements working with all levels of the organization
  • Conduct current state workflow, future state, gap analysis and process analysis/design
  • Document and manage Risks, Issues, Changes, Decisions and remediation strategies
  • Synergize findings into a single, shared, realistic vision
  • Translate technical issues into a single, shared, and realistic vision
  • Document use cases, business cases and processes
  • Could be assigned projects of lesser complexity and duration as needed to support programs
  • Perform management of access control and permissions for the business units key Customer Relationship Management software (Salesforce)


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, or related discipline
  • 5+ years' recent, related experience in health care or information management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong skills in needs analysis, requirements gathering and documentation
  • Demonstrable project management and coordination capabilities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent technical writing, proposal/business case crafting and document management skills
  • Skilled with role-specific software tools - e.g. MS Project/Smartsheet (or similar PM tools), MS Visio (or similar diagraming tools), MS Teams (or similar communication tools), MS Office (productivity tools)
  • Knowledge of risk management, change management and issue resolution methodologies
  • Superior analytical skills, including ability to comprehend, analyze and resolve complex issues
  • Self-starter with ability to strategize, plan and execute with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrable leadership and teamwork skills including ability to influence broad stakeholder groups
  • Works effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, simultaneous, competing priorities
  • Resourceful, well-organized, accountable, critical thinking, detail oriented
  • Knowledge of healthcare setting and health information management


What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Master's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of business analysis, consulting or administration experience preferred
  • Customer Relationship Management experience with implementations and support
  • Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud / Service Cloud certification preferred
  • Program/project management knowledge: ITIL, PMP, CAPM preferred
  • Process improvement knowledge: Six Sigma preferred
  • Compliance knowledge: ISO, FDA, Quality System Regulation and HIPAA preferred
  • Knowledge of international data privacy laws an asset


What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

General office demands

Periodic collaboration with individuals and teams across globe and time zones

How much should I expect to travel?

Possibly up to 5% travel dependent upon the Change Healthcare's status of open facilities (COVID-19) as well as client's status
