Job Posting

The CyberLife Team within Life and Annuity Systems is seeking a Programmer Analyst for our Galveston, Texas location. The successful Programmer Analyst on the CyberLife team is an entry-level computer programmer who will become skilled in the development of basic programming solutions to support the implementation and maintenance of life insurance policies on the CyberLife policy administration system.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates an ability to communicate with business representatives
  • Understands simple business requirements and can relate these to the supporting system requirements, producing simple technical specifications for the work to be done
  • Codes and unit tests readable, reliable, and maintainable programmatic solutions adhering to both business requirements and programming standards
  • Reviews testing results with peers and business analysts for approval to ensure solutions meet the business need
  • Follows procedural standards and guidelines for documentation necessary to migrate deliverables to the locked-up production environment
  • Providesoptimal service to all internal and external customers
  • Works occasional night and weekend hours to meet target dates


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or a minimum three years of application programming experience
  • Life insurance or annuity experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
