Program Analyst (BC/DR/GOER)

Job Description:
The Program Analyst for the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and General Office Emergency (BC/DR/GOER) programs works under the supervision of the BC/DR/GOER Program Lead. The coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and execution of recovery and response plans, administration of the notification platform(s), and other duties, as assigned.
Education:
4-yr college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
Responsibilities:
- Serve as point of contact for day-to-day efforts in maintenance of business continuity program elements
- Support and maintain existing processes through training and exercises to ensure Norfolk Southern's (NS's) technical infrastructure and business processes are sufficiently resilient
- Interface with internal IT groups and Business Partners to review and validate recovery and response plans
- Develop, conduct and debrief mock-disaster exercises to test adequacy of existing plans and strategies
- Coordinate test exercises with business team leads to ensure NS's ability to properly respond during times of disaster or critical incidents
- Assists with coordination of Incident Response teams
- Assist business units with:
- Assessment of potential business impact (Business Impact Analysis)
- Definition of Critical, time-sensitive functions
- Validation of business continuity plans
- Update documentation and administer Business Recovery Planning SharePoint Site, Disaster Recovery, General Office Emergency Team Site, General Office Emergency Response Internal Site team site and General Office Response internal site
- Administer emergency mass notification platform(s)
- Administer application inventory system
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience with SharePoint administration
- Minimum of 6 years' experience with Microsoft Excel
- Active Directory administration experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior attention to details
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent customer support skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
