Production Specification Analyst - Interiors

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.
Job Description:
This position requires the candidate to have the ability to analyze and interpret highly complex engineering information such as work orders, vehicle description summary information, product plan content and be able to convert into model/option or assembly usage statements to create and maintain engineering parts lists in the engineering product release system.
The role requires a great deal of attention to detail, problem solving skills, experience in analyzing data, the ability to handle multiple goals and request simultaneously, and good communication skills.
- Create and maintain a parts list for assigned commodities/programs independent of mentor oversight
- Meet targets/deadlines for deliverables, audits, and other performance objectives
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action for release issues
Additional Description
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- DFSS Green Belt Certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independent from a mentor as a proficient production specification analyst
- Proficiency in gmLogic including creating PAT, using future VDS, and VWO analysis
- Ability to audit, interpret, and correct MPL issues
- Proficiency in MPL update macro and other production specification macros used for quality and efficiency
