Procurement Analyst
Location: Remote (Must be US based)

This position is responsible for the review and processing of transactional procurement requests. The role is also involved in special projects to support Procurement Hub initiatives, accounts payable, and vendor management that benefits the Global Procurement organization and NielsenIQ’s procure-to-pay process. 

The analysis, compliance and insights this role provides will service the NielsenIQ Procurement team in delivering their mission.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the proper utilization of NielsenIQ’s Purchasing System
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of purchase requests to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of purchase information. Displays strong category management capability.
  • Maintains purchasing records and completes edits, adjustments, and closures when necessary
  • Directs orders to strategic suppliers and programs as necessary
  • Decides on rejection of transactions for non-adherence to policies and adequate documentation, therefore deferring processing until the appropriate level of approval or proper documentation is obtained
  • Ensures that agreed control processes and procedures are implemented to identify and mitigate risks in his/her area of responsibility
  • Assists in Payment Terms management to push for the most favorable terms for NielsenIQ.
  • Assists the AP department with Invoice and PO reconciliation issues for on time payment.
  • Assist customers with supplier database maintenance
  • Assists in training of/coaching of new and current internal customers
  • Participates in customer calls and emails as needed
  • Provides routine administrative support.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think beyond their area of scope, with an understanding of how their role impacts not only the rest of the procurement organization, but NielsenIQ as a whole. They will show the ability to think analytically and strategically, while delivering the day-to-day tasks at hand. Excellent customer service skills and strong, positive communication with internal customers is a must.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience required
  • 1 year of Purchasing, Sourcing, P2P systems, Finance experience, or Business-related area
  • Experience working in Corporate Services, Operations or Technology Procurement preferred.
  • Must have a strong work ethic, self-motivated work style and a good attention to detail and enjoy a dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities
  • Individual contributor and team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba a plus
