ABOUT THE ROLE

BlueVine is looking for an experienced Manager that can help build an end-to-end internal fraud management process.  This position will be responsible for the implementation and administration of all aspects of internal fraud prevention and assists with various assignments. This  will be a key position to help BlueVine identify and manage risk stemming from internal fraud. 

This is not a fully remote role. At BlueVine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment.  All of our offices will reopen in accordance with local guidelines, and will follow a hybrid model.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build comprehensive roadmap to define roles and permissions across different internal tools and other systems
  • Create a framework to avoid any unauthorized access 
  • Build policies and implement best practices for privacy and data sharing  
  • Formulate strategy and procedures for data leak prevention 
  • Build policies on enterprise-wide internal fraud management
  • Build scalable and comprehensive process for fraud detection and prevention that spans across multiple systems, functions 
  • Incorporate multiple fraud monitoring techniques including building rules designed to detect more fraud with lower false positives
  • Research potential and actual fraudulent incidents, and share best practices and risk alerts
  • Address multiple alerts, monitor systems usage, conducts time-sensitive investigations for suspicious or improper activity, 
  • Ensures all suspected and actual fraudulent situations are documented to ensure accurate data is available for auditing and reporting purposes
  • Communicate with and educate process owners effectively on the importance of controls, an effective control environment, and the role of Internal fraud
  • Help define and develop internal fraud strategies through the identification of fraud events/trends and data
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and management to offer recommendations for employment decisions based on the results of the investigation

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • 5 years of experience
  • Be highly motivated and be able work individually and as part of a team;
  • Expert in data-driven decision making
  • Very strong organizational and problem-solving skills; 
  • The ability to self-motivate and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment;
  • Understanding or prior experience in SQL a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be flexible and willing to take-on projects and responsibilities outside the primary scope of position, as needed
