About the Role:
The Data Analytics Architect, Principal acts as a lead for the development of analytics product packages as driven by Epicor's product roadmap or customer contracts with a key focus on matching the final user experience with a business case. Uses market trends to deliver innovative solutions for the front-end analytics user experience.
What You'll Do:

  • Acts as lead when working on a 360 degree basis across the cross functional analytics product team including Engineers, ETL software engineers, data sciences engineers, data production staff, aftermarket industry SMEs, and also directly engaging customers to orchestrate the final analytics solution.
  • Uses knowledge on market trends to innovate and integrate analytics technology and new data sources to keep our analytics solutions current in the fast involving analytics market space.
  • Assists product operations managers and staff in developing and delivering high analytics availability and performance to meet or exceed customer contract service levels.
  • Builds strong relationships with senior management and provides recommendations for strategic direction
  • Acts as a lead for the Data Analytics Architect organization and provides expert guidance on complex escalated cases.


What You Need to Succeed:

  • 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in building, deploying, and supporting large scale analytics solutions.
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science/statistics or related field
  • Experience using SQL and/or Python to analyze large dataset Exposure to data modeling and data warehousing design principles Expert level experience in one or more analytics front end toolsets such as such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or Tableau
  • Background and experience in medium to large IT initiatives leveraging formalized requirements, agile/iterative development methods, and formalized change management processes
  • Creative, flexible, and collaborative in approach to technical problem solving and data driven design


Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

  • Academic or industry exposure to big data solutions supporting market research, predictive maintenance, demand forecasting use cases preferred
  • Advanced Degree in applied mathematics subject such as Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline preferred
  • Academic or industry exposure to B2B or B2C pricing and revenue optimization preferred Academic or industry exposure to AI and machine learning methods preferred
